About Us

Student Services is a team that are core to the personal and academic development of students. Student Services is under the management of the Vice President for the Student Experience.

Our shared Vision is Every NUI Galway Student will be supported to actively engage with the University experience to maximise their potential for learning and leadership for life and work. The achievement of this Vision is thrrough our Mission "Student Services will provide students with integrated and prioritised personal, high quality services, appropriate to their developmental and support needs, to promote student engagement".

Welfare and Support	Health and Wellbeing
Find suitable housing and / or get advice on tenant rights. Our Chaplains and Counsellors are available to everyone in the University. If you are feeling unhappy or confused talking to someone might help clarify the issues. Our Disability Liaison Office provides confidential supports to students with a disability. If you are a 1st year student and are worried about contacting you why not contact your student connect mentor who is fully trained. If you are in financial difficulty, you may be eligible for funding under the financial aid fund. We can advise you on budgeting.	The Health Promotion Office advises you on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Visit our Wellness Centre at the back of the Hub, Aras na Mac Leinn to relax and take time out. Our Health Unit offers you a medical G.P. Service. Why not take the E-Pub Challenge Our Child Care student services at NUI Galway can offer practical help and advice as well as resources for our students who need it.
Career and Development	Get Involved
The Career Development Centre can help you find jobs, give you career information and advice, provides CV/Interview workshops, seminars and much more.	We strongly encourage you to get involved with clubs, societies and volunteering. We have over 50 Sports Clubs and 100 Societies with activities for everyone. There are hundreds of opportunities to volunteer. Why not add to you learning experience by joining a Club, a Society or volunteer.
